Brief About Veera Pasi
Veera Pasi was a Dalit freedom fighter belonging to the Pasi community of Uttar Pradesh.
He was born in 1835 in Lodhwari village of Raebareli district.
Veera Pasi became a trusted commander and companion of Rana Beni Madhav Baksh Singh, ruler of the Shankarpur Estate during the 19th century.
Role in the Revolt of 1857
Veera Pasi actively participated in the Revolt of 1857 against British colonial rule.
According to local folklore, he displayed exceptional bravery by rescuing Rana Beni Madhav Singh after the British captured him.
His resistance against British forces made him a prominent local hero, leading the British government to announce a reward for his capture.
Veera Pasi is remembered in oral traditions as a courageous warrior who sacrificed his life while resisting colonial forces.
