Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025)
Context
The Tri-Services Exercise (TSE-2025) “Trishul” will commence in early November 2025
The Indian Navy is the lead service conducting the exercise, jointly with the Indian Army and Indian Air Force
The 12-day exercise is being coordinated by the Headquarters Western Naval Command
Location and Participants:
The exercise will feature large-scale operations across the creek and desert sectors of Rajasthan and Gujarat, and comprehensive maritime operations in the North Arabian Sea.
The Army Southern Command, Western Naval Command, and the Southwestern Air Command are the principal formations participating.
The Indian Coast Guard, Border Security Force (BSF), and other central agencies are also participating.
More than 20,000 troops, T-90S and Arjun tanks, attack helicopters, missile systems, Rafale and Sukhoi-30MKI fighters, and a fleet of frigates and destroyers will take part.
Key Objectives
To validate and synchronise operational procedures across the three Services for joint effect-based operations
To enhance interoperability of platforms, strengthen network integration, and advance jointness in operations
A major focus is on validating multi-domain integrated operations (including amphibious operations involving INS Jalashwa and Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessels)
The exercise will also validate joint Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber Warfare plans
It will highlight the effective employment of indigenous systems.
