Sādhana Saptah 2026
Context:
In a first-of-its-kind national initiative, the Capacity Building Commission is launching Sādhana Saptah 2026 from April 2 to April 8, 2026.
This weeklong event marks one of the largest and most comprehensive collaborative capacity-building efforts ever undertaken across India's civil services ecosystem, designed specifically to build the competencies required for achieving the long-term vision of Viksit Bharat 2047
Key Highlights and Objectives:
The term Sādhana stands for Strengthening Adaptive Development and Humane Aptitude for National Advancement.
The launch of this massive capacity-building week coincides perfectly with two important national milestones:
The Foundation Day of the Capacity Building Commission
The successful completion of five years of Mission Karmayogi (the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building).
The Three Sutras:
The entire initiative and its associated learning engagements are strategically anchored around three core guiding principles or 'Sutras':
Technology
Tradition
Tangible Outcomes.
The initiative is bringing together a massive network of stakeholders to share best practices.
It involves over 100 Central Ministries, Departments, and Organisations (MDOs), more than 30 States and Union Territories, and over 250 Civil Services Training Institutions (CSTIs) in a shared national effort.
Public officials across the country are encouraged to participate through a hybrid learning model.
This includes self-driven, digital learning modules on the iGOT Karmayogi platform, combined with institution-led engagements such as Samuhik Charcha (group discussions), thematic seminars, and workshops.
The ultimate goal is to foster a civil service that remains highly effective, adaptable, future-ready, and deeply citizen-centric to navigate emerging challenges.
