International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women
Context:
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is observed annually on November 25th.
It was formally established by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in 2000.
The aim is to raise awareness and intensify efforts to end violence against women and girls worldwide.

Women Help Desks located in police stations to provide prompt and compassionate assistance.
