Deaths reported in Brazil have raised safety concerns about DengiAll, India's dengue vaccine developed by Panacea Biotec.

About Dengue

Causative agent: Dengue virus (DENV) - 4 serotypes: DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, DENV-4.

Vector: Transmitted primarily by the Aedes aegypti mosquito).

Dengue isn’t contagious from person to person except when passed from a pregnant person to their child.

The two primary vaccines are Dengvaxia and QDENGA.

ADE (Antibody-Dependent Enhancement): A key challenge in dengue vaccination - secondary infection with a different serotype can cause Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) or Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS).
