BHAVYA Scheme ● Context: ✔ The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) recently released detailed operational guidelines to launch and implement the landmark BHAVYA Scheme. ● Facts for Prelims: ✔ BHAVYA is a Central Sector Scheme ✔ It is formulated by the DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce & Industry ✔ The aim is to build investment-ready, world-class integrated industrial infrastructure aligned with Make in India and PM Gati Shakti. ✔ It aims to develop 100 industrial parks over a six-year period from 2026-27 to 2031-32. ✔ The scheme covers both greenfield and brownfield projects. ✔ Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Framework: o Project execution, management, and long-term maintenance will be driven by dedicated SPVs incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. ✔ The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) acts as the Project Management Agency (PMA), while supreme project monitoring and oversight are held by a National Level Steering Committee chaired by the Secretary, DPIIT.
